FAQ Eligibility

? I have just turned 26. Am I eligible to receive TILA?
A You would not be eligible to receive the TILA allowance as you are not within the target age group of 15-25. To be eligible your application must be received by the TILA office before your 26th birthday.

? I was kicked out of home and moved in with some friends. Am I eligible?
A You may be eligible but this will depend upon two things. Firstly, you would need to be receiving an independent rate of an eligible payment such as Youth Allowance - Unreasonable to Live at Home (UTLAH) and secondly, you must be leaving the accommodation with your friends and moving into your own independent accommodation within 6 weeks of applying for TILA.
